Hide Faces, Text and Private Details in Photos

Protect privacy before you share a photo. Mark any area with a box, an oval or a brush, then blur it, pixelate it, or cover it with a solid black box. The tool can also find faces and lines of text automatically — in English or Nepali — and mark them for you. Everything is processed on your device, so the original photo is never uploaded.

Ways to hide information

  • Blur softens an area while keeping the overall look.
  • Pixelate turns an area into large blocks — the classic censor effect.
  • Black box completely covers the area and is the safest choice for sensitive details.

Tips

  • Check the result after automatic detection — it can miss small, turned or partly hidden faces and unusual fonts.
  • For passwords, ID numbers or addresses, use the black box: light blur on small text can sometimes be reversed.
  • Download as PNG to avoid extra quality loss.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Editing and detection run in your browser. The detection model and language data are downloaded from public CDNs the first time you use them, but your image is not sent anywhere.

How accurate is automatic face and text detection?

It works well on clear, front-facing faces and printed text, but it can miss some. Always review the result and mark anything missed by hand.

Is blur or pixelate enough to hide sensitive text?

Not always. For sensitive details use the black box effect, which cannot be reversed.

Can I blur only part of a photo?

Yes. Use the box, oval or brush to mark exactly the areas you want to hide; the rest stays untouched.
