Facial Structure Analyzer
Upload a clear front-facing photo to analyze your facial structure. Get detailed scores for facial symmetry, golden ratio proportions, face shape, and feature placement. This tool uses advanced computer vision to provide objective analysis.
Understanding Facial Structure Analysis
Our facial structure analyzer evaluates your face based on objective measurements and established aesthetic principles:
Symmetry Score
Measures how symmetrical your face is by comparing left and right sides. Perfect symmetry is rare, and slight asymmetry is normal and often adds character.
Proportion Score
Evaluates how well your facial features follow the golden ratio (1.618), which is often associated with aesthetically pleasing proportions found in nature and art.
Face Shape
Identifies your face shape (oval, round, square, etc.) based on width-to-height ratio and overall structure.
Feature Placement
Analyzes the placement and spacing of facial features (eyes, nose, mouth) relative to each other and the face as a whole.
Important Notes
- Objective Analysis: This tool provides objective measurements, not subjective beauty ratings
- Photo Quality Matters: Clear, front-facing photos produce the most accurate results
- Natural Variation: All faces are unique, and scores are just one way to analyze structure
- Privacy: Photos are processed securely and can be automatically deleted after analysis
- Not Medical Advice: This tool is for informational purposes only, not medical or cosmetic advice
Facial Structure Analysis - Objective Measurement Tool
Our Facial Structure Analyzer uses advanced computer vision and facial landmark detection to provide objective analysis of facial features. Upload a clear front-facing photo to receive detailed scores for facial symmetry, golden ratio proportions, face shape, and feature placement.
What is Facial Structure Analysis?
Facial structure analysis is the objective measurement and evaluation of facial features using computer vision techniques. Unlike subjective beauty ratings, this tool provides scientific measurements based on:
- Facial Symmetry: Comparing left and right sides of the face
- Golden Ratio Proportions: Evaluating how features align with the mathematical golden ratio (1.618)
- Face Shape: Identifying face shape (oval, round, square, long, wide)
- Feature Placement: Analyzing spacing and alignment of eyes, nose, and mouth
How It Works
Our analyzer uses MediaPipe Face Mesh, a state-of-the-art facial landmark detection system that identifies 468 key points on the face. These landmarks are then analyzed to calculate:
- Symmetry Score: Measures how symmetrical your face is by comparing corresponding points on left and right sides
- Proportion Score: Evaluates facial proportions against the golden ratio, which is often associated with aesthetically pleasing features
- Face Shape: Determines face shape based on width-to-height ratio and overall structure
- Feature Placement: Analyzes the positioning and spacing of facial features relative to each other
- Overall Score: Combines all factors into a comprehensive structure score
Photo Requirements for Best Results
To get the most accurate analysis, follow these guidelines:
- Front-Facing: Face the camera directly - no angles or tilting
- Clear Visibility: Ensure your entire face is clearly visible
- Good Lighting: Use even, natural lighting - avoid harsh shadows
- Neutral Expression: Maintain a natural, relaxed facial expression
- No Obstructions: Remove glasses, masks, or hair covering facial features
- High Quality: Use a clear, in-focus photo (JPG, PNG, or WebP, max 10MB)
Understanding Your Scores
Symmetry Score (0-100)
Measures how symmetrical your face is. Perfect symmetry is rare in nature, and slight asymmetry is normal and often adds character. Higher scores indicate better facial symmetry.
- 90-100: Excellent facial symmetry
- 80-89: Very good facial symmetry
- 70-79: Good facial symmetry
- 60-69: Moderate facial symmetry
- Below 60: Facial symmetry could be improved
Proportion Score (0-100)
Evaluates how well your facial features follow the golden ratio (approximately 1.618), a mathematical proportion found in nature and art that is often associated with aesthetically pleasing features.
Face Shape
Identifies your face shape based on width-to-height ratio:
- Oval: Classic oval shape, considered ideal (ratio ~0.75-0.85)
- Round: Round face with soft features (ratio ~0.85-0.95)
- Square: Square face with strong angles (ratio ~0.95-1.1)
- Long/Oval: Elongated face shape (ratio < 0.75)
- Wide: Wider face shape (ratio > 1.1)
Feature Placement Score (0-100)
Analyzes the placement and spacing of facial features (eyes, nose, mouth) relative to each other and the face as a whole. Higher scores indicate better feature alignment and spacing.
Technology Behind the Analysis
Our tool uses advanced computer vision libraries:
- MediaPipe Face Mesh: Google's facial landmark detection system that identifies 468 key points on the face
- OpenCV: Computer vision library for image processing and face detection (fallback)
- NumPy: Mathematical calculations for symmetry, proportions, and measurements
If MediaPipe is unavailable, the tool falls back to OpenCV's face detection for basic analysis.
Important Notes
- Objective Analysis Only: This tool provides objective measurements, not subjective beauty ratings
- Photo Quality Matters: Clear, front-facing photos produce the most accurate results
- Natural Variation: All faces are unique, and scores are just one way to analyze structure
- Not Medical Advice: This tool is for informational purposes only, not medical or cosmetic advice

Privacy and Security
Your privacy is important to us:
- Photos are processed securely on our servers
- Images may be temporarily stored for preview but are not shared with third parties
- You can request deletion of uploaded photos if needed
- All analysis is performed automatically - no human review of photos
Limitations
- Best results require clear, front-facing photos
- Analysis accuracy depends on photo quality and lighting
- Obstructed faces (glasses, masks, hair) may produce less accurate results
- Angled or profile photos are not suitable for analysis
- Multiple faces in one photo will analyze the largest detected face
