How to take a photo that gives accurate results
  • Look straight at the camera with your head level. A tilt is corrected, but turning left or right is not.
  • Hold the camera at eye height, about an arm’s length away, and avoid wide-angle selfies up close.
  • Use even light from the front. Relax your face with a closed mouth and no big smile.
  • Pull hair back off your forehead and take off glasses or hats.

How the Facial Structure Analyzer works

The tool finds 478 landmarks on your face (eyes, brows, nose, lips and jawline) with an on-device face-mesh model. It levels your head using the line between your eyes, then measures distances and angles in that corrected frame, so a slightly tilted photo does not change the result.

Symmetry

Over 200 matching pairs of points on the left and right sides are compared across your facial midline. The difference is expressed as a percentage of the distance between your eyes, so it does not depend on photo size. The mirror view builds a fully symmetrical face from each side so you can see the difference for yourself.

Proportions and face shape

Vertical thirds, eye spacing, nose and mouth width, lip ratio, eye tilt and jaw width are shown against the range most faces fall in. Face shape (oval, round, square, heart, oblong or diamond) is a blend of length, forehead, jaw and chin measurements, so the top two matches are shown instead of forcing a single label.

Getting an accurate reading

Look straight at the camera with your head level, use even light, keep a relaxed neutral expression and pull hair off your forehead. The tool warns you when the head is turned, the mouth is open, you are smiling widely or the face is too small.

Privacy

The photo is processed locally and is never sent to a server. This is a geometric measurement for curiosity, not a measure of attractiveness.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded or stored?

No. The face model runs in your browser, so the photo never leaves your device. Only the small model file (about 4 MB) is downloaded the first time, then cached.

How accurate is the analysis?

It measures real landmark positions and corrects for head tilt, so results are consistent for the same photo. Accuracy still depends on the photo: a straight-on, evenly lit, neutral-expression picture taken at eye level works best. Turning your head, a wide-angle selfie or a big smile will shift the numbers, and the tool warns you about these.

Why isn't there an overall beauty score?

Attractiveness cannot be reduced to a number, and the so-called ideal ratios are not backed by solid evidence. The tool reports measurements, a symmetry percentage and common ranges instead.

Does perfect symmetry exist?

Almost never. Every face has small left-right differences, which is normal. Most faces have a mismatch of a few percent of the eye distance.

Why are two face shapes shown?

Face shapes blend into each other, so the tool shows how closely you match each shape and lists the top two.
