Makalu Base Camp Trek Itinerary from Kathmandu

The Makalu Base Camp trek starts with a flight to Tumlingtar and a jeep to Num, then crosses the Arun river and climbs through Tashigaon and Khongma Danda, over the Shipton La and Keke La passes, into the Barun valley and up to the base camp at about 4,800 m.
