Number the Pages of a PDF in Seconds

Add page numbers to a PDF without installing software. Choose where numbers appear (top or bottom, left, center or right), a format such as “Page 3 of 12”, the font, size and color, the number to start from, and which pages to number — handy for skipping a cover page. A live preview shows exactly how it will look before you download.

Options

  • Six positions: top or bottom, left, center or right.
  • Formats: 1, Page 1, Page 1 of N, 1 / N and - 1 -.
  • Start numbering at any number, and number only a range of pages.

Good to know

  • Pages that are rotated inside the PDF are handled correctly.
  • Original content is untouched; numbers are added on top.
  • Your PDF stays on your device throughout.

Frequently asked questions

Can I skip the cover page?

Can I use “Page 1 of 10”?

Yes — choose the “Page 1 of 10” format. “Of N” counts the last numbered page.

Will it change my original file?
