Jet Arena: Free Multiplayer Jetpack Shooter in Your Browser
Jet Arena is a fast 2D shooter where every soldier has a jetpack. Play with up to eight friends on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot, add computer players, or practise alone. It runs entirely in your browser on phones, tablets and computers, with no install and no account.
How multiplayer works
One player creates a room and shares the four-letter code, an invite link or the QR code. Friends open the page, press Join room and enter the code. Devices connect directly to each other with WebRTC, and the host's device runs the match, so there is no game server to wait for.
Weapons and maps
- Pistol, Uzi, AK-47, M249 machine gun, shotgun, AWM sniper rifle (the longest range, with an adjustable scope) and rocket launcher, plus grenades.
- Ammo is limited, so grab ammo boxes and weapon crates; the pistol never runs out. Health packs, jetpack fuel cans and weapon crates are spread around each map. Eliminated players drop their weapon.
- Four big Nepali arenas with swimmable lakes and hot springs, jump pads and tunnels: Pokhara Lakeside under the Machhapuchhre fishtail peak, Kathmandu Durbar with its pagodas and the Boudha stupa, the Mustang Sky Caves, and Janakpur Dham with Janaki Mandir.
- Free for all or two-team deathmatch, with kill and time limits you choose.
A different twist in every arena
Pokhara has a boat drifting across Phewa Lake carrying a rocket crate and thermals beside Sarangkot that lift you without fuel. Kathmandu has a festival bell at the Boudha stupa that gives a shield to whoever holds the plaza, and clotheslines you slide down between rooftops. Mustang has rolling boulders, tunnel lamps you can shoot out to plunge a tunnel into darkness, and hot springs that heal. In Janakpur the monsoon rain slowly floods the low ground around the ponds.
Power-ups and touch aiming
Walk over power-ups for a damage-absorbing shield, double damage, a speed boost or a turbo jetpack with unlimited fuel. On phones you can switch aim assist from off to high and set how fast the aim stick turns.
Rare special weapons
Each Nepali arena hides one golden special weapon near the middle of the map: the thrown Khukuri in Pokhara, the thunderbolt Vajra in Kathmandu, the Himalayan Dhanush longbow in Mustang and the piercing Trishul in Janakpur. They are rare, they kill in one hit, and kills with them score double.
Hiding and cover
Every arena has foliage, marigold bushes and hanging drapes you can hide in, and crates and stone walls that stop bullets. Enemies cannot see you while you hide, until you shoot or get hurt.
Controls
On a computer use WASD or the arrow keys to move, hold W or Space to fly, and aim and shoot with the mouse. On a phone use the left stick to move and fly, and the right stick to aim and fire. A fullscreen mode makes it feel like an app.
