Convert Nepali (BS) and English (AD) Dates Accurately
This converter turns Bikram Sambat dates into Gregorian dates and the other way round. It uses the official month-length table for BS 2000 to 2090 (AD 1943 to 2034), so month lengths of 29, 30, 31 or 32 days are handled correctly for every year. Results include the weekday in English and Nepali, the date written in Nepali digits, and the number of days in that BS month.
When you need it
- Checking a date of birth, citizenship or passport date written in BS or AD.
- Filling government, bank or visa forms that ask for a specific calendar.
- Planning events, deadlines and payments across the Nepali and English calendars.
Good to know
- Nepal’s Bikram Sambat year starts in mid-April (Baisakh 1), so a BS year spans two AD years.
- Month lengths in BS vary from year to year, which is why a simple formula can’t convert dates — a lookup table is required.
- Dates outside BS 2000–2090 are not supported.
