Eid ul-Fitr Countdown: How Many Days Are Left?
This page counts down the days, hours, minutes and seconds until Eid ul-Fitr (इद उल-फितर). The date is shown in both the English calendar and the Bikram Sambat (BS) calendar, and you can add it to your calendar or share it with friends and family.
About Eid ul-Fitr
Eid ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting. Muslims in Nepal and around the world begin the day with a special prayer, wear new clothes, visit family and share sweets, and give charity (zakat al-fitr). It is a public holiday in Nepal. The date depends on the sighting of the new moon.
How the countdown works
The counter runs to midnight at the start of the festival day in Nepal (UTC+5:45), so it is correct wherever you are in the world. Eid ul-Fitr depends on the lunar calendar, so its English date changes each year and is confirmed shortly before the festival by the sighting of the new moon. When the festival has passed, the page tells you when the next date is available.
Eid ul-Fitr wishes
